Angela Coe

Angela is a Wiradjuri woman from Cowra, Central New South Wales, living and working on Gadigal Land – Redfern NSW.

Angela is a Registered Midwife currently working at the Aboriginal Medical Service Redfern and part time as a Policy Officer with the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives.

After completing a Bachelor of Midwifery at UTS and working in South East Queensland Angela returned to the Redfern community as a community Midwife. Angela is proud to work at Redfern AMS, the first Aboriginal Community Controlled Medical Service in the Country giving her the ability to provide culturally appropriate clinical Midwifery care to the local Aboriginal community.

Along with the Australian College of Midwives (ACM) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee, Angela is a current active member of the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses & Midwives (CATSINAM).

Angela also has Tertiary qualifications in Business, Aboriginal Primary Health Care and in specialised Case Worker Development and is currently completing a Master’s of Primary Health at QUT.
