We are delighted to inform you that applications for our 2025 scholarships for First Nations midwifery students and registered First Nations midwives will be open from today, Monday 17th March 2025 until Sunday to 6th April 2025.
First Nations midwifery students and registered midwives can apply directly from the link on our website: Rhodanthe Lipsett | Indigenous Midwifery Charitable Fund.
Category A Scholarships of $5,000 are available for full-time students. Category A Scholarships of $2,500 are available for part time students. We are hoping to award up to ten full-time Category A scholarships this year.
Registered midwives can apply for a $1,000 Category B scholarship, for use on post-grad course work, conferences and events that support their midwifery career. We hope to provide at least five Category B scholarships in 2025.
Applications will be assessed based on responses to the application questions. To be eligible, applicants must provide:
- Confirmation of Aboriginality certificate (COA) from an incorporated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisation
- Proof of current university course enrolment OR AHPRA registration
