On Friday 3rd May 2013, to coincide with the celebrations for International Midwives’ Day, the Trust held its first official formal fundraising and networking event. As you’ll see from the photos, midwives and others dressed for the occasion and came along in great numbers.

Auntie Millie Ingram started the proceedings and gave the Welcome to Country, she was then followed by Rhodanthe Lipsett who gave a short speech. The importance of the Fund was spoken about by Rhodanthe Lipsett Fund Co Chair Leona McGrath. Six scholarship winners were then announced as well as the winner of the inaugural Felicity Bundock Scholarship.
